Welcome

Welcome to the commune of Lescouet Gouarec, situated in the centre of Brittany on the border of Cotes d’Armor and Morbihan. Although a small population of just under two hundred, you will receive a warm welcome from its’ varied inhabitants. You will find a charming village with its’ traditional houses and church, with other heritage sites nestled within the surrounding countryside.

With the benefit of unspoilt countryside and heritage, the commune is perfectly placed to explore this beautiful area of France. You will find stunning countryside that includes orchids, streams and lakes, as well as native woodland and wildlife.

Not very far away are the famous Nantes-Brest Canal and the magnificent Lake Guerledan. There are several pleasant market towns within a short drive including Rostrenen, Guemene sur Scorff and Pontivy.

For practical information the Mayor’s office is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons 13.30-18.00.

Here you will be able to ask for administrative documentation including planning application paperwork and information, civic procedures (eg: registration of a birth), tax information and forms. The office can also give information on many other subjects such as transport, schooling, accommodation, child and elderly care and other information such as where to go to find employment and other social security organisations. Information on local clubs and associations will be found here too, as well of course, news and information of events that is happening locally.
